THE HISTORY

Borile Motociclette, a craft metalworking company, was founded by Umberto Borile in 1987 in Vo’, a small town on the slopes of the Euganean Hills, in the province of Padua.
Since its first motorcycle, the Piuma 500, presented in the same year, the company has stood out for its craftsmanship and innovation (the first enduro motorcycle in the world, made entirely by hand, to have a perimeter frame in Cr-Mo and to mount a sophisticated air suspension system, without springs, adjustable from the handlebars. The weight was and remains a record for the category, 101 kg!)
Over the years, the “master” Umberto Borile, after having presented various models in the most important national and international exhibitions, was recognized as one of the most important and renowned manufacturers of artisanal motorcycles in the world, so much so that in
2003 the Chamber of Commerce of Padua awarded him the “gold medal for work and
economic progress”. The municipal administration of his town also awarded him in the same year, for having contributed to
exporting the name of the Veneto town throughout the world.
In 2010, the company was renewed, given the entry into the partnership of the Bassi family, and took the name of Umberto Borile & Co srl; in the same year the light and innovative Multiuso was born in the 125cc, 230cc versions.
In 2011, Borile presented the new B450 Scrambler at Eicma in Milan, equipped with a new engine featuring an air-cooled Ducati cylinder unit; at the same time, it presented the B500 Ricki custom bike, hand-made entirely of aluminum, in just 20 very exclusive examples.
In 2015, the new B300CR was presented, the little sister of the B500CR, and the Bastard, a café racer with retro lines.
For several years, following the entry of the Bassi family into the company, the production of motorcycles took place at the production site in the province of Milan, while the R&D department, managed directly by Umberto Borile, and the production of all the “special” motorcycles such as the B500 Ricki remained at the Vò site.
After the death of Carlo Bassi, the company experienced various vicissitudes due to the lack of industrial and commercial plans worthy of the brand and even the feared entry of some Veronese entrepreneurs did nothing but lead to the de facto closure of the series production of Borile motorcycles.
In 2017 the founder of the company met Dr. Fracassi, a business consultant and start-up specialist, passionate about motorcycles, and together they joined forces to relaunch and give prestige to the glorious BORILE motorcycle brand. And here we are today!

Where it all began, in the heart of the Euganean Hills, 2 km from the Agugliaro toll booth on the A31, is our R&D department led by the “master” Umberto Borile. In addition to a workshop with the most modern machinery, the department has its own track where you can test your prototypes in complete safety. The Research & Development department is the beating heart of the company, where our motorcycles are born, representing the best that Italian artisan production can achieve. Companies that want to remain competitive on the market need, especially today, an advanced research and development department that can provide them with the tools and skills needed to constantly evolve. New technologies and constant innovation have always been, for our company, the key to making us stand out in an increasingly standardized and homologated world.

For logistical reasons, production has moved to the green heart of Italy, specifically to Spoleto, in Umbria, a city that hosted the Italian GP of the FIM Enduro World Championship in 2017 and 2020 and the World Cup E-Bike Enduro in 2022, which on that occasion also saw the world premiere of our E-Bike EUGANEA by Agazzini. The warehouse, currently being set up, will house the administrative offices, the assembly department of our motorcycles, the raw materials and spare parts warehouse, the logistics center for distribution to the various dealerships, as well as a place for training and growth of our specialized workers and technicians.
